Sequins make the heart grow fonder

During lockdown, with too much time on my hands, I couldn’t stop obsessing over the gorgeous apparel on the Rosa Bloom website. I craved something to cheer me up after we had to postpone our wedding, which should have been in May last year, and I wanted something to look forward to wearing for our evening party when we finally get to make it official this summer. So I treated myself to the most divine Aphrodite Jumpsuit and have so far worn it relentlessly – for every Zoom quiz we’ve hosted, the weekend we should have been at Glastonbury Festival, and of course on our should-have-been wedding day!

I hope that my photo highlights a whole lot of joy and colour, as we had so much fun (and gin) celebrating in our garden on such a hot summer’s day. In these strange times, I’ve certainly been feeling a sincere amount of gratitude for the simple things – and sequins. A big thank you needs to be given to my fiancée Nick. I will forever be in his debt after he donned a musty old sequin jacket and a dove on top of his head for the day, ha!

I was also astonished to discover that the RB HQ is a mere five minute walk from my doorstep in the sleepy town of Penryn in Cornwall. And I can’t wait to build my collection of dreamy spangles. I’m hoping to purchase another Aphrodite Jumpsuit when the new colours launch next spring…perfect timing for my glitter-themed hen do!"
